All fees are expected to be paid on the day of consultation unless a participant is NDIS plan managed.
Session appointments, reports and other case work including session preparation, preparation of resources, telephone, written communications with family and other professionals and travel time are invoiced at the hourly rate.
Some children will be eligible for services to be fully or partly funded under the following programs.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Optimal Outcomes OT provides occupational therapy for NDIS plan managed and self-managed participants. Plan managed participants will have invoices sent to their Local Area Coordinator.
Private Health Funds
Families may be able to claim a rebate for occupational therapy sessions through their private health insurance. Eligibility and the amount that can be claimed will depend on the type of cover and extras. Families are recommended to contact their health insurance provider for more information about cover and the claiming process.
Medicare
If your child has a Chronic Disease Management Plan, they may be eligible for a Medicare rebate.
Your child will need to get a Medicare Plan from your GP or Paediatrician prior to your first session in order to claim the rebate.
Please note, there will be a gap between the Medicare rebate, so you will have some out of pocket expenses
Payments may be made by EFTPOS or direct bank transfer.
Optimal Outcome OT's cancellation policy is consistent with the NDIS cancellation policy.
A minimum of 2 business days notice is required or the full fee is payable. If a child is unwell or otherwise unable to attend the session, the parent or carer is able to use the time for a telehealth appointment or request resources be made in replacement of the session.
